What is JPOS?

JPOS (Jurassic Park Operating System) is a fictional computer system used to manage Jurassic Park.

The goal of our project is to simulate a functional, online Jurassic Park control system, featuring user management, park resources (gasoline, power, etc) and animal management systems.

JPOS is an online, Flash-based (now HTML) system connected to a back-end server with its own dedicated database. Users are referred to as “Operators”, and the system depends on these operators to function. For example, the system's power is generated at a power plant in the park using limited fuel resources, so operators will be required to monitor the plant's fuel consumption and refuel the plant if necessary. If the park runs out of fuel, the system will no longer function, so pay attention!
